Michael Effiong, PhD is a seasoned Petroleum Engineer with nearly two decades of leadership in the energy sector, specializing in oil & gas and carbon storage. He has excelled in Upstream Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Strategy, with expertise in Asset Development Planning, Reservoir Management, and Production System Optimization.
At industry-leading operating companies, Michael has co-led corporate strategies and transformed Production Optimization and Asset Management Capabilities. His PhD research in carbon storage highlights his dedication to net-zero ambitions.
Michael, the first African-American and Nigerian to earn a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston, also holds degrees from FUTO, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and an active SPE member.

Sade’s robust experience spans strategy development, concept selection, FEED/EPCm, and contractor engagement. Her ability to navigate union labor relations and foster personnel development further underscores her capacity to deliver results that matter.
Sade holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Cornell University.
